Step into a whimsical world this festive season, at National Trust property, The Vyne. Discover sparkling trees and quirky displays inspired by Lewis Carroll’s timeless classics, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking-Glass.

Explore the house’s ground floor, where shimmering trees adorned with baubles bring nonsensical scenes from Looking-Glass to life. Marvel at an illogical room where upside-down Christmas trees defy gravity and in the Stone Gallery, relive Alice’s journey as a queen on a giant chessboard.

Venture into the gardens to encounter beloved characters and iconic scenes from Alice’s Adventures and witness the Queen of Hearts’ army of cards marching across the north lawn.

Collect your trail sheet from Visitor Reception and join Alice on a quest through the gardens dotted with light-hearted displays before entering the house. Enjoy nonsensical fun challenges and activities before collecting your prize. £2 per trail sheet and prize.  All ages can look for 12 whimsically wonderful life-size cut-outs of their favourite Wonderland characters. The Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the White Rabbit and the infamously ill-tempered Queen of Hearts are just some of the characters you will find hidden in The Vyne’s house and gardens. The incredible artwork is by Hampshire-based illustrator, Rachel Hudson.
