Independent pub & inn The Red Lion, Odiham, and local cycle sportive Hampshire Tour Series have teamed up to offer you a super prize that combines a cycling tour around the local Hampshire countryside, followed by great hospitality at your local Odiham pub & inn.

Win entry for two on the Tour of the Candovers on Sunday 3rd September, and choose from the 20-mile, 40-mile, or 60-mile route. Celebrate your achievement with a hearty meal to the value of £75, or an overnight stay and breakfast for two, at The Red Lion, Odiham.

Set up by cyclists, for cyclists, Hampshire Tour Series is a series of cycle sportives established in 2014 by members of Odiham Cycling Club & 1st Gear Cycles.

The Tour of the Candovers, in its 9th year, is a cycle sportive originally set up by the friendly folks at Odiham Cycle Club to encourage members of the Hampshire & surrounding areas cycle community to come together and enjoy the fantastic cycling routes, here on our doorstep. With routes of 20, 40, and 60 miles, The Tour of the Candovers, which will take place on Sunday 3rd September, has something for everyone alongside the friendly and social atmosphere of a local bike ride.

All proceeds of The Tour of the Candovers will be donated to Winchester-based charity Naomi House & Jack’s Place, ensuring not only a fantastic day out on two wheels, but the knowledge of giving something back to the community as a result.

Enjoy some of the most scenic, and least-used roads in Hampshire tied together by a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all. Riders can expect to find a race HQ, with refreshments, clearly marked marshalled routes, and motorbike-rider support throughout.

Competition Prize:

T&C’s:

  • Competition to run for 14 days, closing at midnight on 6th August 2023.
  • Prize Winner to be drawn at random and will be contacted by email after the end date.
  • Should the winner not respond within 5 days, a new winner will be drawn at random.
  • The prize consists of Tour of the Candovers bike entry for two, and either a meal or, an overnight experience for two at The Red Lion.
  • The Red Lion, Odiham prize is valid for 12 months for the prize-winner and their guest.
  • If you choose the overnight stay, accommodation is valid 7 days a week, subject to availability
  • Accommodation blackout dates: 24, 25, 31 Dec.
  • Accommodation is based on 2 people sharing a standard room
  • If you choose the food and drink option, a £75 voucher will be issued with a 12-month validity. Please note, the voucher must be consumed in a single transaction, and cannot be split or used on more than one visit.
  • Tour of the Candovers is a fixed public event date of 3rd September 2023 and cannot be exchanged, or transferred to another date, or event.
  • The prize winner is to source their own mode of travel to/ from venues.
  • The prize offering cannot be altered, and a monetary alternative is not available.
